VERONICA magazine.NL KEEPS ON GROWING The Veronica magazine internet site attracted 3.2 million unique visitors in 2010. This represented a growth of 30% compared with 2009. We achieved this explosive growth of even more interesting readers’ campaigns, by introducing the TV Update newsletter and by further developing relevant TV, film and entertainment content. The website is, in fact, intended for the age group 13-49 years and B2B, and its unique visitors increased by 142% in 2010. The Veronicamagazine.nl TV guide, the campaigns and film are highly popular while at TotaalTV.nl the emphasis is on current news about ‘watching digital TV’. The content of Veronica magazine has been made accessible and suitable for this latest digital channel, the first in its segment. Users of the iPad now have an EPG and a Veronica magazine application at their disposal. The application consists of an always up-to-date TV guide and an enhanced magazine that can be downloaded weekly. The application always starts up with the EPG containing topical information about more than 120 channels and TV tips including photos and videos. The new magazine, containing all the articles from the magazine and enhanced with links, extra final/images and videos, is also available on Tuesday. The idea is that the EPG will become the most user-friendly and easy-reference digital TV guide in the Netherlands, all sorts of social media being included. The magazine’s aim is to become the most amusing entertainment guide with interactive editorial content and unique interactive commercial opportunities. COMMERCIAL OPPORTUNITIES The TV guide, in particular, makes advertising around specific programmes a profitable proposition. As programme sponsor, you can also feature in the TV guide on the relevant day. NEWSLETTER Every day, Veronica magazine sends the TV Update with our TV tips for the day, an overview of all the films, the topics covered in the current affairs and sports programmes and the most important programme changes. This unique method enables Veronica magazine to reach a group of consumers which is growing daily. MOBILE New and successful: the mobile version of Veronica magazine with Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) is also popular. No less than 50,000 consumers now use this iPhone application (December 2010). The mobile version focuses on the TV guide. Veronica magazine has developed an application specifically for the iPhone. There is also a special application for the Android and the Windows platform. Other mobile users can make use of the special mobile website, which means that you always have the latest programme information at hand! IPAD: MANY POSSIBILITIES More and more ways are being developed to enable readers to access editorial and TV information. Readers are becoming users and they expect entertainment content and information to be available any time, anywhere. They are continually looking for surprising information and instant entertainment, and want to be kept updated and amused in the most user-friendly manner possible.
